Property Maintenance
Who doesn’t want more time in their day to spend with the ones we love or doing the things we love? At DEL, we give our clients their weekends back. Our skilled and educated team will care for your landscape like it’s their own. Whether you need skilled pruning, fertilization, compost, weed control, perennial plant care, you can rest easy knowing we have you covered.
What Sets Us Apart?
Our team is constantly learning and expanding our knowledge in all aspects of the landscape. We take pride in knowing plants. By properly identifying what plants you have, we’re able to maximize the full potential of your landscape not just for today but for what will become years from now.
Not all plants that weren’t planted in your planting beds are necessarily “weeds”. Instead of using a bunch of chemicals and killing everything, we’re able to selectively target only the weeds. Any beneficial plants will be left to thrive or transplanted into more appropriate areas of the property. By creating more sustainable and healthy planting areas, this saves our clients money because there will be less opportunities for weeds to become established. They also are able to utilize these free volunteer plants instead of having to buy expensive plants from a nursery.
Education is Key
We love to teach people. Many of our clients have the capacity to do the work themselves but not the knowledge and understanding. We’re willing to educate and answer all questions about your landscape. There are many societal norms when it comes to the landscape and perceived standards we’re supposed to do in our yards every year. Unfortunately, a lot of those standards are outdated and a waste of your time. They also end up costing you more money as you constantly have to purchase more chemicals or mulch and plants.
Our property maintenance services include:
planting bed maintenance, weeding, tree & shrub care, pruning & trimming,
perennial care, natural areas management, fertilizer, compost, & green mulch.
Do you cut your perennials before winter?
We recommend against this. You’re losing a valuable resource to your landscape. Leaves supply great nutrients to the soil which helps keep your turf grass healthy. They’re also beneficial for any vegetable gardens or planting beds. They also contain many species of butterfly and moths that hide in the leaves over winter.
Do you remove all of your leaves from your property every fall?
